For a product that has the name TV attached to it, its a shame that it cannot play or record live TV. While Apple is trying to get more users interested in this product by the way of reducing the price and adding features like direct download, the missing tuner card is one factor which will keep PVR enthusiasts like me away from this product.
Even with these new features added, the XBOX 360 is still an attractive and cheaper option if I need to play only offline content. With the new found love for divx format, XBOX 360 is one step ahead of Apple TV as an extender box. If Apple doesn’t address this, the Apple TV will no doubt go the iPod Hi-Fi way.
