* – Will update once this information is available.

It is very obvious that Nokia N810 is the undisputed leader in terms of features. As of today, N810 is my recommended device for anyone who wants internet on the go. The distinguished feature on the N810 is the cellular data connectivity using bluetooth. That means, you don’t need to search for a Wi-Fi access point when you need internet connectivity. You will be able to use the device anywhere you get a cellular signal. Another winner on the N810 is the support for Adobe flash 9, the same version that is used in the desktop. Mylo comes with Flashlite 3, which is good enough to render flash videos directly.

Update 28-Jun-2009: With extensive third party application support, my current recommendation is the iPod Touch. It is much thinner and lighter than Nokia N810 and comes with integrated storage upto a whopping 32 GB.

Since the iPod Touch has the largest flash size, it could run the widest variety of third-party applications, except Apple currently doesn’t allow third-party software to run on the device! Otherwise, it would be a great device for fixed-mobile convergence.

Also, most importantly, the table should list Java support. The iPod and the Mylo do not support Java as far as I know.

Well I’d also point out that all three can run a lot of webbased apps for things like IM and the sort (I know the post is a little old). I’ve got my own post on the N810 v the iPod touch if youre interested linked below with a few more text-based comments.

The SecondRotation (Sell your old phone) ad covers most of the chart and does not go away. It ruins this page and almost assures I would not do business with the advertiser. Looking on current version of FireFox.

@B,

The ads on this site are served by Google and I (unfortunately), have no control on them. And the Ads served vary from country to country.

Still, I will look into this and try to adjust the page so that, ads do not interfere with the table.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Quote from above -
FM radio: Yes

How is that ?
Does anyone ever get the FM radio app in the 810 to work ??

Please advice …

No, the n810 does’nt have fm radio. The n800 does because thats an added feature of the bluetooth chip used. Internet radio works fine though, and the n810 standard media player has a whole list of internet radio channels standard.

I’m thinking about buying a ipod touch, but what I’m interest in, can I get internet radio like espn news. I would like this if I’m at work.
